From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.
𐤌𐤑𐤉𐤅𐤍 𐤌𐤊𐤋𐤋 𐤉𐤐𐤉 𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 𐤄𐤅𐤐𐤉𐤏
מִצִּיּ֥וֹן מִכְלַל־ יֹ֗פִי אֱלֹהִ֥ים הוֹפִֽיעַ׃ miṣ·ṣî·yō·wn miḵ·lal- yō·p̄î ’ĕ·lō·hîm hō·w·p̄î·a‘ — WLC · 2

Our God approaches and will not be silent! Consuming fire precedes Him, and a tempest… rages around Him.

אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ יָ֤בֹ֥א וְֽאַל־ יֶ֫חֱרַ֥שׁ תֹּאכֵ֑ל אֵשׁ־ לְפָנָ֥יו נִשְׂעֲרָ֥ה מְאֹֽד׃ וּ֝סְבִיבָ֗יו ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū yā·ḇō wə·’al- ye·ḥĕ·raš tō·ḵêl ’êš- lə·p̄ā·nāw niś·‘ă·rāh mə·’ōḏ ū·sə·ḇî·ḇāw — WLC · 3

He summons… the heavens above,… and the earth, that He may judge His people:

יִקְרָ֣א אֶל־ הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם מֵעָ֑ל וְאֶל־ הָ֝אָ֗רֶץ לָדִ֥ין עַמּֽוֹ׃ yiq·rā ’el- haš·šā·ma·yim mê·‘āl wə·’el- hā·’ā·reṣ lā·ḏîn ‘am·mōw — WLC · 4

“Gather to Me My saints, who made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”

אִסְפוּ־ לִ֥י חֲסִידָ֑י כֹּרְתֵ֖י בְרִיתִ֣י עֲלֵי־ זָֽבַח׃ ’is·p̄ū- lî ḥă·sî·ḏāy kō·rə·ṯê ḇə·rî·ṯî ‘ă·lê- zā·ḇaḥ — WLC · 5

And the heavens proclaim His righteousness, for God Himself is Judge. Selah
𐤔𐤌𐤉𐤌 𐤅𐤉𐤂𐤉𐤃𐤅 𐤑𐤃𐤒𐤅 𐤊𐤉 𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 𐤄𐤅𐤀 𐤔𐤐𐤈 𐤎𐤋𐤄
שָׁמַ֣יִם וַיַּגִּ֣ידוּ צִדְק֑וֹ כִּֽי־ אֱלֹהִ֓ים׀ ה֣וּא שֹׁפֵ֖ט סֶֽלָה׃ šā·ma·yim way·yag·gî·ḏū ṣiḏ·qōw kî- ’ĕ·lō·hîm hū šō·p̄êṭ se·lāh — WLC · 6

“Hear, O My people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you: I am God, your God.

שִׁמְעָ֤ה עַמִּ֨י׀ וַאֲדַבֵּ֗רָה יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל וְאָעִ֣ידָה בָּ֑ךְ אָנֹֽכִי׃ אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֱלֹהֶ֣יךָ šim·‘āh ‘am·mî wa·’ă·ḏab·bê·rāh yiś·rā·’êl wə·’ā·‘î·ḏāh bāḵ ’ā·nō·ḵî ’ĕ·lō·hîm ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā — WLC · 7

I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices, and your burnt offerings are ever before Me.

לֹ֣א אוֹכִיחֶ֑ךָ עַל־ זְ֭בָחֶיךָ וְעוֹלֹתֶ֖יךָ תָמִֽיד׃ לְנֶגְדִּ֣י lō ’ō·w·ḵî·ḥe·ḵā ‘al- zə·ḇā·ḥe·ḵā wə·‘ō·w·lō·ṯe·ḵā ṯā·mîḏ lə·neḡ·dî — WLC · 8

I have no need for a bull from your stall or goats from your pens,
𐤋𐤀 𐤀𐤒𐤇 𐤐𐤓 𐤌𐤁𐤉𐤕𐤊 𐤏𐤕𐤅𐤃𐤉𐤌 𐤌𐤌𐤊𐤋𐤀𐤕𐤉𐤊
לֹא־ אֶקַּ֣ח פָ֑ר מִבֵּיתְךָ֣ עַתּוּדִֽים׃ מִ֝מִּכְלְאֹתֶ֗יךָ lō- ’eq·qaḥ p̄ār mib·bê·ṯə·ḵā ‘at·tū·ḏîm mim·miḵ·lə·’ō·ṯe·ḵā — WLC · 9

for every beast of the forest is Mine— the cattle on a thousand hills.

כִּי־ כָל־ חַיְתוֹ־ יָ֑עַר לִ֥י בְּ֝הֵמ֗וֹת אָֽלֶף׃ בְּהַרְרֵי־ kî- ḵāl ḥay·ṯōw- yā·‘ar lî bə·hê·mō·wṯ ’ā·lep̄ bə·har·rê- — WLC · 10

I know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field [are] Mine.
𐤉𐤃𐤏𐤕𐤉 𐤊𐤋 𐤏𐤅𐤐 𐤄𐤓𐤉𐤌 𐤅𐤆𐤉𐤆 𐤔𐤃𐤉 𐤏𐤌𐤃𐤉
יָ֭דַעְתִּי כָּל־ ע֣וֹף הָרִ֑ים וְזִ֥יז שָׂ֝דַ֗י עִמָּדִֽי׃ yā·ḏa‘·tî kāl- ‘ō·wp̄ hā·rîm wə·zîz śā·d̲ai ‘im·mā·ḏî — WLC · 11

If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is Mine, and the fullness thereof.

אִם־ אֶ֭רְעַב לֹא־ אֹ֣מַר לָ֑ךְ כִּי־ תֵ֝בֵ֗ל לִ֥י וּמְלֹאָֽהּ׃ ’im- ’er·‘aḇ lō- ’ō·mar lāḵ kî- ṯê·ḇêl lî ū·mə·lō·’āh — WLC · 12

Do I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
𐤄𐤀𐤅𐤊𐤋 𐤁𐤔𐤓 𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤓𐤉𐤌 𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤄 𐤅𐤃𐤌 𐤏𐤕𐤅𐤃𐤉𐤌
הַֽ֭אוֹכַל בְּשַׂ֣ר אַבִּירִ֑ים אֶשְׁתֶּֽה׃ וְדַ֖ם עַתּוּדִ֣ים ha·’ō·w·ḵal bə·śar ’ab·bî·rîm ’eš·teh wə·ḏam ‘at·tū·ḏîm — WLC · 13

Sacrifice a thank offering to God, and fulfill your vows to the Most High.
𐤆𐤁𐤇 𐤕𐤅𐤃𐤄 𐤋𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 𐤅𐤔𐤋𐤌 𐤍𐤃𐤓𐤉𐤊 𐤋𐤏𐤋𐤉𐤅𐤍
זְבַ֣ח תּוֹדָ֑ה לֵאלֹהִ֣ים וְשַׁלֵּ֖ם נְדָרֶֽיךָ׃ לְעֶלְי֣וֹן zə·ḇaḥ tō·w·ḏāh lê·lō·hîm wə·šal·lêm nə·ḏā·re·ḵā lə·‘el·yō·wn — WLC · 14
15
Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor Me.”

וּ֭קְרָאֵנִי בְּי֣וֹם צָרָ֑ה אֲ֝חַלֶּצְךָ֗ וּֽתְכַבְּדֵֽנִי׃ ū·qə·rā·’ê·nî bə·yō·wm ṣā·rāh ’ă·ḥal·leṣ·ḵā ū·ṯə·ḵab·bə·ḏê·nî — WLC · 15

To the wicked, however, God says, “What right have you to recite My statutes and to bear My covenant on your lips?
𐤅𐤋𐤓𐤔𐤏 𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 𐤀𐤌𐤓 𐤌𐤄 𐤋𐤊 𐤋𐤎𐤐𐤓 𐤇𐤒𐤉 𐤅𐤕𐤔𐤀 𐤁𐤓𐤉𐤕𐤉 𐤏𐤋𐤉 𐤐𐤉𐤊
וְלָ֤רָשָׁ֨ע׀ אֱלֹהִ֗ים אָ֘מַ֤ר מַה־ לְּ֭ךָ לְסַפֵּ֣ר חֻקָּ֑י וַתִּשָּׂ֖א בְרִיתִ֣י עֲלֵי־ פִֽיךָ׃ wə·lā·rā·šā‘ ’ĕ·lō·hîm ’ā·mar mah- lə·ḵā lə·sap·pêr ḥuq·qāy wat·tiś·śā ḇə·rî·ṯî ‘ă·lê- p̄î·ḵā — WLC · 16

For you hate My instruction and cast My words behind you.

וְ֭אַתָּה שָׂנֵ֣אתָ מוּסָ֑ר וַתַּשְׁלֵ֖ךְ דְּבָרַ֣י אַחֲרֶֽיךָ׃ wə·’at·tāh śā·nê·ṯā mū·sār wat·taš·lêḵ də·ḇā·ray ’a·ḥă·re·ḵā — WLC · 17

When you see a thief, you befriend him, and throw in your lot with adulterers.

אִם־ רָאִ֣יתָ גַ֭נָּב וַתִּ֣רֶץ עִמּ֑וֹ חֶלְקֶֽךָ׃ וְעִ֖ם מְנָאֲפִ֣ים ’im- rā·’î·ṯā ḡan·nāḇ wat·ti·reṣ ‘im·mōw ḥel·qe·ḵā wə·‘im mə·nā·’ă·p̄îm — WLC · 18

You unleash your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit.
𐤔𐤋𐤇𐤕 𐤐𐤉𐤊 𐤁𐤓𐤏𐤄 𐤕𐤑𐤌𐤉𐤃 𐤅𐤋𐤔𐤅𐤍𐤊 𐤌𐤓𐤌𐤄
שָׁלַ֣חְתָּ פִּ֭יךָ בְרָעָ֑ה תַּצְמִ֥יד וּ֝לְשׁוֹנְךָ֗ מִרְמָֽה׃ šā·laḥ·tā pî·ḵā ḇə·rā·‘āh taṣ·mîḏ ū·lə·šō·wn·ḵā mir·māh — WLC · 19

You sit and malign your brother; you slander your own mother’s son.
𐤕𐤔𐤁 𐤕𐤃𐤁𐤓 𐤁𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤊 𐤕𐤕𐤍 𐤃𐤐𐤉 𐤀𐤌𐤊 𐤁𐤁𐤍
תֵּ֭שֵׁב תְדַבֵּ֑ר בְּאָחִ֣יךָ תִּתֶּן־ דֹּֽפִי׃ אִ֝מְּךָ֗ בְּבֶֽן־ tê·šêḇ ṯə·ḏab·bêr bə·’ā·ḥî·ḵā tit·ten- dō·p̄î ’im·mə·ḵā bə·ḇen- — WLC · 20

You have done these things, and I kept silent; you thought I was… just like you. But now I rebuke you and accuse you to your face.

עָשִׂ֨יתָ׀ אֵ֤לֶּה וְֽהֶחֱרַ֗שְׁתִּי דִּמִּ֗יתָ הֱֽיוֹת־ אֶֽהְיֶ֥ה כָמ֑וֹךָ אוֹכִיחֲךָ֖ וְאֶֽעֶרְכָ֣ה לְעֵינֶֽיךָ׃ ‘ā·śî·ṯā ’êl·leh wə·he·ḥĕ·raš·tî dim·mî·ṯā hĕ·yō·wṯ- ’eh·yeh ḵā·mō·w·ḵā ’ō·w·ḵî·ḥă·ḵā wə·’e·‘er·ḵāh lə·‘ê·ne·ḵā — WLC · 21

Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you:

נָ֣א בִּֽינוּ־ זֹ֭את שֹׁכְחֵ֣י אֱל֑וֹהַּ פֶּן־ אֶ֝טְרֹ֗ף וְאֵ֣ין מַצִּֽיל׃ nā bî·nū- zōṯ šō·ḵə·ḥê ’ĕ·lō·w·ah pen- ’eṭ·rōp̄ wə·’ên maṣ·ṣîl — WLC · 22

He who sacrifices a thank offering honors Me, and to him who rightly orders [his] way, I will show the salvation of God.”

זֹבֵ֥חַ תּוֹדָ֗ה יְֽכַ֫בְּדָ֥נְנִי וְשָׂ֥ם דֶּ֑רֶךְ אַ֝רְאֶ֗נּוּ בְּיֵ֣שַׁע אֱלֹהִֽים׃ zō·ḇê·aḥ tō·w·ḏāh yə·ḵab·bə·ḏā·nə·nî wə·śām de·reḵ ’ar·’en·nū bə·yê·ša‘ ’ĕ·lō·hîm — WLC · 23
