Praise the LORD from the Heavens

Hallelujah…! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the highest places.
𐤄𐤋𐤋𐤅 𐤉𐤄 𐤄𐤋𐤋𐤅 𐤀𐤕 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 𐤌𐤍 𐤄𐤔𐤌𐤉𐤌 𐤄𐤋𐤋𐤅𐤄𐤅 𐤁𐤌𐤓𐤅𐤌𐤉𐤌
הַ֥לְלוּ יָ֨הּ׀ הַֽלְל֣וּ אֶת־ יְ֭הוָה מִן־ הַשָּׁמַ֑יִם הַֽ֝לְל֗וּהוּ בַּמְּרוֹמִֽים׃ hal·lū yāh hal·lū ’eṯ- Yah·weh min- haš·šā·ma·yim hal·lū·hū bam·mə·rō·w·mîm — WLC · 1

Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His heavenly hosts.

Praise Him, O sun and moon; praise Him, all you shining stars.

הַֽ֭לְלוּהוּ שֶׁ֣מֶשׁ וְיָרֵ֑חַ הַ֝לְל֗וּהוּ כָּל־ אֽוֹר׃ כּ֥וֹכְבֵי hal·lū·hū še·meš wə·yā·rê·aḥ hal·lū·hū kāl- ’ō·wr kō·wḵ·ḇê — WLC · 3

Praise Him, O highest heavens…, and you waters above the skies.

הַֽ֭לְלוּהוּ שְׁמֵ֣י הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וְ֝הַמַּ֗יִם אֲשֶׁ֤ר׀ מֵעַ֬ל הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ hal·lū·hū šə·mê haš·šā·mā·yim wə·ham·ma·yim ’ă·šer mê·‘al haš·šā·mā·yim — WLC · 4

Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He gave the command and they were created.

יְֽ֭הַֽלְלוּ אֶת־ שֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֤י ה֭וּא צִוָּ֣ה וְנִבְרָֽאוּ׃ yə·hal·lū ’eṯ- šêm Yah·weh kî hū ṣiw·wāh wə·niḇ·rā·’ū — WLC · 5

He established them forever and ever; He issued a decree that will never pass away.

Praise the LORD from the earth, all great sea creatures and ocean depths,

הַֽלְל֣וּ אֶת־ יְ֭הוָה מִן־ הָאָ֑רֶץ וְכָל־ תַּ֝נִּינִ֗ים תְּהֹמֽוֹת׃ hal·lū ’eṯ- Yah·weh min- hā·’ā·reṣ wə·ḵāl tan·nî·nîm tə·hō·mō·wṯ — WLC · 7

lightning and hail, snow and clouds, powerful wind fulfilling His word,
𐤀𐤔 𐤅𐤁𐤓𐤃 𐤔𐤋𐤂 𐤅𐤒𐤉𐤈𐤅𐤓 𐤎𐤏𐤓𐤄 𐤓𐤅𐤇 𐤏𐤔𐤄 𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤅
אֵ֣שׁ וּ֭בָרָד שֶׁ֣לֶג וְקִיט֑וֹר סְ֝עָרָ֗ה ר֥וּחַ עֹשָׂ֥ה דְבָרֽוֹ׃ ’êš ū·ḇā·rāḏ še·leḡ wə·qî·ṭō·wr sə·‘ā·rāh rū·aḥ ‘ō·śāh ḏə·ḇā·rōw — WLC · 8

mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,
𐤄𐤄𐤓𐤉𐤌 𐤅𐤊𐤋 𐤂𐤁𐤏𐤅𐤕 𐤐𐤓𐤉 𐤏𐤑 𐤅𐤊𐤋 𐤀𐤓𐤆𐤉𐤌
הֶהָרִ֥ים וְכָל־ גְּבָע֑וֹת פְּ֝רִ֗י עֵ֥ץ וְכָל־ אֲרָזִֽים׃ he·hā·rîm wə·ḵāl gə·ḇā·‘ō·wṯ pə·rî ‘êṣ wə·ḵāl ’ă·rā·zîm — WLC · 9

wild animals and all cattle, crawling creatures and flying birds,
𐤄𐤇𐤉𐤄 𐤅𐤊𐤋 𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤄 𐤓𐤌𐤔 𐤊𐤍𐤐 𐤅𐤑𐤐𐤅𐤓
הַֽחַיָּ֥ה וְכָל־ בְּהֵמָ֑ה רֶ֝֗מֶשׂ כָּנָֽף׃ וְצִפּ֥וֹר ha·ḥay·yāh wə·ḵāl bə·hê·māh re·meś kā·nāp̄ wə·ṣip·pō·wr — WLC · 10

kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth,
𐤌𐤋𐤊𐤉 𐤀𐤓𐤑 𐤅𐤊𐤋 𐤋𐤀𐤌𐤉𐤌 𐤔𐤓𐤉𐤌 𐤅𐤊𐤋 𐤔𐤐𐤈𐤉 𐤀𐤓𐤑
מַלְכֵי־ אֶ֭רֶץ וְכָל־ לְאֻמִּ֑ים שָׂ֝רִ֗ים וְכָל־ שֹׁ֥פְטֵי אָֽרֶץ׃ mal·ḵê- ’e·reṣ wə·ḵāl lə·’um·mîm śā·rîm wə·ḵāl šō·p̄ə·ṭê ’ā·reṣ — WLC · 11

young men and maidens, old and young together.
𐤁𐤇𐤅𐤓𐤉𐤌 𐤅𐤂𐤌 𐤁𐤕𐤅𐤋𐤅𐤕 𐤆𐤒𐤍𐤉𐤌 𐤏𐤌 𐤍𐤏𐤓𐤉𐤌
בַּחוּרִ֥ים וְגַם־ בְּתוּל֑וֹת זְ֝קֵנִ֗ים עִם־ נְעָרִֽים׃ ba·ḥū·rîm wə·ḡam- bə·ṯū·lō·wṯ zə·qê·nîm ‘im- nə·‘ā·rîm — WLC · 12

Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His splendor [is] above the earth and the heavens.
𐤉𐤄𐤋𐤋𐤅 𐤀𐤕 𐤔𐤌 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 𐤊𐤉 𐤔𐤌𐤅 𐤋𐤁𐤃𐤅 𐤍𐤔𐤂𐤁 𐤄𐤅𐤃𐤅 𐤏𐤋 𐤀𐤓𐤑 𐤅𐤔𐤌𐤉𐤌
יְהַלְל֤וּ׀ אֶת־ שֵׁ֬ם יְהוָ֗ה כִּֽי־ שְׁמ֣וֹ לְבַדּ֑וֹ נִשְׂגָּ֣ב ה֝וֹד֗וֹ עַל־ אֶ֥רֶץ וְשָׁמָֽיִם׃ yə·hal·lū ’eṯ- šêm Yah·weh kî- šə·mōw lə·ḇad·dōw niś·gāḇ hō·w·ḏōw ‘al- ’e·reṣ wə·šā·mā·yim — WLC · 13

He has raised up a horn for His people, the praise of all His saints, of Israel…, a people near to Him. Hallelujah…!

וַיָּ֤רֶם קֶ֨רֶן׀ לְעַמּ֡וֹ תְּהִלָּ֤ה לְֽכָל־ חֲסִידָ֗יו לִבְנֵ֣י יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל עַֽם־ קְרֹב֗וֹ הַֽלְלוּ־ יָֽהּ׃ way·yā·rem qe·ren lə·‘am·mōw tə·hil·lāh lə·ḵāl ḥă·sî·ḏāw liḇ·nê yiś·rā·’êl ‘am- qə·rō·ḇōw hal·lū- yāh — WLC · 14
