Chapter 145
I Will Exalt You, My God and King
1
[A Psalm] of praise. Of David. 1I will exalt You, my God [and] King; I will bless Your name forever and ever.

תְּהִלָּ֗ה לְדָ֫וִ֥ד אֲרוֹמִמְךָ֣ אֱלוֹהַ֣י הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַאֲבָרֲכָ֥ה שִׁ֝מְךָ֗ לְעוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃ tə·hil·lāh lə·ḏā·wiḏ ’ă·rō·w·mim·ḵā ’ĕ·lō·w·hay ham·me·leḵ wa·’ă·ḇā·ră·ḵāh šim·k̲ā lə·‘ō·w·lām wā·‘eḏ — WLC · 1

Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever.

בְּכָל־ י֥וֹם אֲבָרֲכֶ֑ךָּ וַאֲהַלְלָ֥ה שִׁ֝מְךָ֗ לְעוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃ bə·ḵāl yō·wm ’ă·ḇā·ră·ḵe·kā wa·’ă·hal·lāh šim·k̲ā lə·‘ō·w·lām wā·‘eḏ — WLC · 2

Great [is] the LORD and greatly to be praised; His greatness vvv [is] unsearchable.
𐤂𐤃𐤅𐤋 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 𐤌𐤀𐤃 𐤅𐤌𐤄𐤋𐤋 𐤅𐤋𐤂𐤃𐤋𐤕𐤅 𐤀𐤉𐤍 𐤇𐤒𐤓
גָּ֘ד֤וֹל יְהוָ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד וּמְהֻלָּ֣ל וְ֝לִגְדֻלָּת֗וֹ אֵ֣ין חֵֽקֶר׃ gā·ḏō·wl Yah·weh mə·’ōḏ ū·mə·hul·lāl wə·liḡ·ḏul·lā·ṯōw ’ên ḥê·qer — WLC · 3

One generation will commend Your works to the next, and will proclaim Your mighty acts—
𐤃𐤅𐤓 𐤉𐤔𐤁𐤇 𐤌𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤊 𐤋𐤃𐤅𐤓 𐤉𐤂𐤉𐤃𐤅 𐤅𐤂𐤁𐤅𐤓𐤕𐤉𐤊
דּ֣וֹר יְשַׁבַּ֣ח מַעֲשֶׂ֑יךָ לְ֭דוֹר יַגִּֽידוּ׃ וּגְב֖וּרֹתֶ֣יךָ dō·wr yə·šab·baḥ ma·‘ă·śe·ḵā lə·ḏō·wr yag·gî·ḏū ū·ḡə·ḇū·rō·ṯe·ḵā — WLC · 4

the glorious splendor of Your majesty. And I will meditate on Your wondrous works.
𐤊𐤁𐤅𐤃 𐤄𐤃𐤓 𐤄𐤅𐤃𐤊 𐤀𐤔𐤉𐤇𐤄 𐤍𐤐𐤋𐤀𐤅𐤕𐤉𐤊 𐤅𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤉
כְּב֣וֹד הֲ֭דַר הוֹדֶ֑ךָ אָשִֽׂיחָה׃ נִפְלְאוֹתֶ֣יךָ וְדִבְרֵ֖י kə·ḇō·wḏ hă·ḏar hō·w·ḏe·ḵā ’ā·śî·ḥāh nip̄·lə·’ō·w·ṯe·ḵā wə·ḏiḇ·rê — WLC · 5

They will proclaim the power of Your awesome deeds, and I will declare Your greatness.

יֹאמֵ֑רוּ וֶעֱז֣וּז נוֹרְאֹתֶ֣יךָ אֲסַפְּרֶֽנָּה׃ וּגְדוּלֹּתֶיךָ yō·mê·rū we·‘ĕ·zūz nō·wr·’ō·ṯe·ḵā ’ă·sap·pə·ren·nāh ū·ḡə·ḏūl·lō·ṯɛ·ḵå̄ — WLC · 6

They will extol the fame of Your abundant goodness and sing joyfully of Your righteousness.
𐤉𐤁𐤉𐤏𐤅 𐤆𐤊𐤓 𐤓𐤁 𐤈𐤅𐤁𐤊 𐤉𐤓𐤍𐤍𐤅 𐤅𐤑𐤃𐤒𐤕𐤊
יַבִּ֑יעוּ זֵ֣כֶר רַב־ טוּבְךָ֣ יְרַנֵּֽנוּ׃ וְצִדְקָתְךָ֥ yab·bî·‘ū zê·ḵer raḇ- ṭū·ḇə·ḵā yə·ran·nê·nū wə·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯə·ḵā — WLC · 7

The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in loving devotion.

יְהוָ֑ה חַנּ֣וּן וְרַח֣וּם אֶ֥רֶךְ אַ֝פַּ֗יִם וּגְדָל־ חָֽסֶד׃ Yah·weh ḥan·nūn wə·ra·ḥūm ’e·reḵ ’ap·pa·yim ū·ḡə·ḏāl- ḥā·seḏ — WLC · 8

The LORD is good to all; His compassion rests on all He has made.

יְהוָ֥ה טוֹב־ לַכֹּ֑ל וְ֝רַחֲמָ֗יו עַל־ כָּל־ מַעֲשָֽׂיו׃ Yah·weh ṭō·wḇ- lak·kōl wə·ra·ḥă·māw ‘al- kāl- ma·‘ă·śāw — WLC · 9

All You have made will give You thanks, O LORD, and Your saints will bless You.

כָּל־ מַעֲשֶׂ֑יךָ יוֹד֣וּךָ יְ֭הוָה וַ֝חֲסִידֶ֗יךָ יְבָרֲכֽוּכָה׃ kāl- ma·‘ă·śe·ḵā yō·w·ḏū·ḵā Yah·weh wa·ḥă·sî·ḏe·ḵā yə·ḇā·ră·ḵū·ḵāh — WLC · 10

They will tell of the glory of Your kingdom and speak of Your might,

יֹאמֵ֑רוּ כְּב֣וֹד מַלְכוּתְךָ֣ יְדַבֵּֽרוּ׃ וּגְבוּרָתְךָ֥ yō·mê·rū kə·ḇō·wḏ mal·ḵū·ṯə·ḵā yə·ḏab·bê·rū ū·ḡə·ḇū·rā·ṯə·ḵā — WLC · 11

to make known vvv to men Your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of Your kingdom.

לְהוֹדִ֤יעַ׀ לִבְנֵ֣י הָ֭אָדָם גְּבוּרֹתָ֑יו וּ֝כְב֗וֹד הֲדַ֣ר מַלְכוּתֽוֹ׃ lə·hō·w·ḏî·a‘ liḇ·nê hā·’ā·ḏām gə·ḇū·rō·ṯāw ū·ḵə·ḇō·wḏ hă·ḏar mal·ḵū·ṯōw — WLC · 12

Your kingdom vvv is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion [endures] through all generations. The LORD is faithful in all His words
and kind in all His actions.

מַֽלְכוּתְךָ֗ כָּל־ עֹֽלָמִ֑ים מַלְכ֥וּת וּ֝מֶֽמְשֶׁלְתְּךָ֗ בְּכָל־ דּ֥וֹר וָדֽוֹר׃ mal·ḵū·ṯə·ḵā kāl- ‘ō·lā·mîm mal·ḵūṯ ū·mem·šel·tə·ḵā bə·ḵāl dō·wr wā·ḏō·wr — WLC · 13

The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.

יְ֭הוָה סוֹמֵ֣ךְ לְכָל־ הַנֹּפְלִ֑ים וְ֝זוֹקֵ֗ף לְכָל־ הַכְּפוּפִֽים׃ Yah·weh sō·w·mêḵ lə·ḵāl han·nō·p̄ə·lîm wə·zō·w·qêp̄ lə·ḵāl hak·kə·p̄ū·p̄îm — WLC · 14

The eyes of all look to You, and You give… them their food in season.

עֵֽינֵי־ כֹ֭ל יְשַׂבֵּ֑רוּ אֵלֶ֣יךָ וְאַתָּ֤ה נֽוֹתֵן־ לָהֶ֖ם אֶת־ אָכְלָ֣ם בְּעִתּֽוֹ׃ ‘ê·nê- ḵōl yə·śab·bê·rū ’ê·le·ḵā wə·’at·tāh nō·w·ṯên- lā·hem ’eṯ- ’ā·ḵə·lām bə·‘it·tōw — WLC · 15

You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
𐤐𐤅𐤕𐤇 𐤀𐤕 𐤉𐤃𐤊 𐤅𐤌𐤔𐤁𐤉𐤏 𐤓𐤑𐤅𐤍 𐤋𐤊𐤋 𐤇𐤉
פּוֹתֵ֥חַ אֶת־ יָדֶ֑ךָ וּמַשְׂבִּ֖יעַ רָצֽוֹן׃ לְכָל־ חַ֣י pō·w·ṯê·aḥ ’eṯ- yā·ḏe·ḵā ū·maś·bî·a‘ rā·ṣō·wn lə·ḵāl ḥay — WLC · 16

The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds.
𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒 𐤁𐤊𐤋 𐤃𐤓𐤊𐤉𐤅 𐤅𐤇𐤎𐤉𐤃 𐤁𐤊𐤋 𐤌𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤅
יְ֭הוָה צַדִּ֣יק בְּכָל־ דְּרָכָ֑יו וְ֝חָסִ֗יד בְּכָל־ מַעֲשָֽׂיו׃ Yah·weh ṣad·dîq bə·ḵāl də·rā·ḵāw wə·ḥā·sîḏ bə·ḵāl ma·‘ă·śāw — WLC · 17

The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call out to Him in truth.

יְ֭הוָה קָר֣וֹב לְכָל־ קֹרְאָ֑יו לְכֹ֤ל אֲשֶׁ֖ר יִקְרָאֻ֣הוּ בֶאֱמֶֽת׃ Yah·weh qā·rō·wḇ lə·ḵāl qō·rə·’āw lə·ḵōl ’ă·šer yiq·rā·’u·hū ḇe·’ĕ·meṯ — WLC · 18

He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them.

יַעֲשֶׂ֑ה וְֽאֶת־ רְצוֹן־ יְרֵאָ֥יו יִ֝שְׁמַ֗ע שַׁוְעָתָ֥ם וְיוֹשִׁיעֵֽם׃ ya·‘ă·śeh wə·’eṯ- rə·ṣō·wn- yə·rê·’āw yiš·ma‘ šaw·‘ā·ṯām wə·yō·wō·šî·‘êm — WLC · 19

The LORD preserves all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy.

יְ֭הוָה אֶת־ שׁוֹמֵ֣ר כָּל־ אֹהֲבָ֑יו וְאֵ֖ת כָּל־ הָרְשָׁעִ֣ים יַשְׁמִֽיד׃ Yah·weh ’eṯ- šō·w·mêr kāl- ’ō·hă·ḇāw wə·’êṯ kāl- hā·rə·šā·‘îm yaš·mîḏ — WLC · 20

My mouth will declare the praise of the LORD; let every creature bless His holy name forever and ever.
