A Psalm of David. 1The LORD said to my Lord: “Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”

מִ֫זְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִ֗ד יְהוָ֨ה׀ נְאֻ֤ם לַֽאדֹנִ֗י שֵׁ֥ב לִֽימִינִ֑י עַד־ אָשִׁ֥ית אֹ֝יְבֶ֗יךָ הֲדֹ֣ם לְרַגְלֶֽיךָ׃ miz·mō·wr lə·ḏā·wiḏ Yah·weh nə·’um la·ḏō·nî šêḇ lî·mî·nî ‘aḏ- ’ā·šîṯ ’ō·yə·ḇe·ḵā hă·ḏōm lə·raḡ·le·ḵā — WLC · 1

The LORD extends Your mighty scepter from Zion: “Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”

יְ֭הוָה יִשְׁלַ֣ח עֻזְּךָ֗ מַטֵּֽה־ מִצִּיּ֑וֹן רְ֝דֵ֗ה בְּקֶ֣רֶב אֹיְבֶֽיךָ׃ Yah·weh yiš·laḥ ‘uz·zə·ḵā maṭ·ṭêh- miṣ·ṣî·yō·wn rə·ḏêh bə·qe·reḇ ’ō·yə·ḇe·ḵā — WLC · 2

Your people [shall be] willing on Your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, to You belongs the dew of Your youth.

עַמְּךָ֣ נְדָבֹת֮ בְּי֪וֹם חֵ֫ילֶ֥ךָ קֹ֭דֶשׁ בְּֽהַדְרֵי־ מֵרֶ֣חֶם מִשְׁחָ֑ר לְ֝ךָ֗ טַ֣ל יַלְדֻתֶֽיךָ׃ ‘am·mə·ḵā nə·ḏā·ḇōṯ bə·yō·wm ḥê·le·ḵā qō·ḏeš bə·haḏ·rê- mê·re·ḥem miš·ḥār lə·ḵā ṭal yal·ḏu·ṯe·ḵā — WLC · 3

The LORD has sworn and will not change His mind: “You are a priest forever in the order vvv of Melchizedek.”

יְהוָ֨ה׀ נִשְׁבַּ֤ע וְלֹ֥א יִנָּחֵ֗ם אַתָּֽה־ כֹהֵ֥ן לְעוֹלָ֑ם עַל־ דִּ֝בְרָתִ֗י מַלְכִּי־ צֶֽדֶק׃ Yah·weh niš·ba‘ wə·lō yin·nā·ḥêm ’at·tāh- ḵō·hên lə·‘ō·w·lām ‘al- diḇ·rā·ṯî mal·kî- ṣe·ḏeq — WLC · 4

The Lord is at Your right hand; He will crush kings in the day of His wrath.

אֲדֹנָ֥י עַל־ יְמִֽינְךָ֑ מָחַ֖ץ מְלָכִֽים׃ בְּיוֹם־ אַפּ֣וֹ ’ă·ḏō·nāy ‘al- yə·mî·nə·ḵā mā·ḥaṣ mə·lā·ḵîm bə·yō·wm- ’ap·pōw — WLC · 5

He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead; He will crush the leaders far… and wide.

יָדִ֣ין בַּ֭גּוֹיִם מָלֵ֣א גְוִיּ֑וֹת מָ֥חַץ רֹ֝֗אשׁ עַל־ אֶ֥רֶץ רַבָּֽה׃ yā·ḏîn bag·gō·w·yim mā·lê ḡə·wî·yō·wṯ mā·ḥaṣ rōš ‘al- ’e·reṣ rab·bāh — WLC · 6

He will drink from the brook by the road; therefore… He will lift up His head.
